These are conversion lenses threaded to be screwed onto an existing lens. They're not stand-alone lenses that can function on their own.
The Digital Rebel XT's kit lens (18-55mm) has a 58mm filter size so if you have the kit lens you'd have to look for a an Opteka .38x lens with a 58mm screw thread.
