Tamron and Sigma are the two major 3rd party lens makers, meaning that they make their lens to fit other brands, such as Pentax, Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Sony, etc. If on the website it says it will fit the brand X, then it probably will, whereas major brands only make lenses to fit their proprietary bodies (Canon lens will not fit a Nikon body, and vice-versa, unless you buy a third party adapter)
And since DSLRs were originally designed to be compatible with film lens in mind, most if not all film lens fits a DSLR (might lose Av functionality or similar).
The only problem you might run into are lenses designed specifically for DSLR - for example, a Canon EF-S (and I guess Nikon DX lens?) only fits camera bodies with APS-C (1.6 crop) sensor; if you put them on a full frame sensor, it can damage the camera.
So to answer to your question: yes, that lens fits your camera.
