What is the best setting on the Canon Rebel XSi for a party?
Hello! I just bought a Canon Rebel XSi today and I plan to use it at a party tonight. What are your suggestions as to the best settings to use at a party?
If you are going to be inside and/or it is going to be dark (nighttime),then just set it to the "Fully Automatic Exposure mode," (dial on upper right top of the camera, turn it to the round corner rectangle symbol that is green). This means the "camera has complete control over exposure, point-and-shoot operation."
See the link below, use it, it will show a photo of the dial, then scroll down a bit, look for the words "Limited variable settings in Basic zone" in blue, right below that is a list of settings, and you want the first one.
