Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor Lens - One of the best lenses for low light and portrait photography. It produces sharp pictures with great color and contrast. I originally got this lens for low light action and sport photography (as this lens is famous for being one of the fastest lens)but I have also found out that this lens is perfect for portrait and other general purposes including macro. This is a very versatile lens.
Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED-IF AF-S VR DX Zoom - An excellent all round lems. If could have only one lens for my Nikon DSLR this lens would be the one. I have been using the lens for several months now and am really satisfied. The lens doesn't have zoom creep and stays where I set it. I have checked my images and find them to be sharp from the center to the edge. Now granted, I don't shoot a lot of test shots but for everyday use, this is a fabulous 'does nearly everything' lens.
Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED IF AF-S DX VR Zoom Nikkor Lens - Incredible Bargain. This lens is sharp even at wide apertures, the VR works great, the auto-focus speed is more than acceptable and it is very light and compact. The fact that it costs $250 and has effective VR (image stabilization) is amazing - no other company offers a lens with this feature for anywhere near this price.
