Digital camera and face close ups?
I have some canon 4mp digital camera and a cell phone with dig camera. When shooting face closeups pics seem weird, they look somehow "distorted", one's head projection doesnt look the same as when looking into a mirror. Do I need some special flash or lens, or...? Thanks.
Are you holding the camera at arm's length and taking the picture of yourself? If so, the camera is way too close to your face. That will distort your features.
Either put your camera on a tripod (can even be a small one that sits on a table) and take your own picture using the timer. Or have someone stand back and zoom in to take your pic. When taking someone else's picture, do the same. Stand back a ways and zoom in. Either way, your features will look more natural! Good luck!
