I have a Canon Rebel XSI. What is the best lens I can get for under 400 dollars?
Basically the type of photography I am going for will be primarily indoor shots (classroom settings and occasionally low-lighted rooms). However I will also be photographing sports like tennis and soccer. I did take a look at the Canon F/4 which was around 600. Would anyone recommend that? It seemed to pool the best reviews but didn't seem to do so well with indoor shots

Keep in mind that all of the above are superb lenses for $400. (There are literally thousands of choices of lenses for $400... especially poor zooms).

I have no idea which lens the Canon F/4 is.
For inside shots the Canon 50mm f/1.8 or f/1.4 is hard to beat.
For sports shots your choices are quite meager for $400. Actually, I can't think of one. Only a poor zoom would be in that range.
