The 14-42 mm zoom lens will give you more versatility.
If you take some time and do some more research you may find your self buying a Nikon D40 with 18-55 mm lens.
You are buying a system not just a camera. The Olympus has the smallest sensor of any DSLR and uses a non-standard format called 4/3rds. All the pro cameras use a 3:2 image ratio and there are literally thousands of new and used lenses available for Nikon and Canon systems.
